We came all the way from Saudi Arabia, and we never imagined that staying at this guesthouse would become one of the most beautiful and meaningful memories of our trip to Japan! From the moment we arrived, Eiji-san, Mako-san, and their three lovely daughters welcomed us with so much warmth and kindness. They made us feel like we were visiting family rather than staying at a guesthouse. We absolutely loved exploring the peaceful countryside, discovering the beauty of the local area, relaxing by the river, and visiting Mako-san’s lovely little shop, where we bought a beautiful stone necklace and a wonderful selection of teas. Everything felt so authentic and special. Some of our favorite memories were the simplest moments: drawing and being creative with the girls, laughing together, and playing Mario on Nintendo! Their daughters are incredibly sweet, fun, and full of personality. We genuinely enjoyed every moment with them. And then came the late-night conversations with Eiji-san and Mako-san. We talked for hours about life, its meaning, our different cultures, and the things that truly matter. Despite coming from different parts of the world, we discovered how much we have in common. Those conversations were incredibly meaningful to us, and something we will always remember. This experience reminded us that the most beautiful part of traveling isn’t always the places you visit, but the people you meet along the way. We arrived as guests, but we left feeling like we had made wonderful friends in Japan. Thank you, Eiji-san, Mako-san, and your three beautiful daughters, for opening your home and hearts to us. ❤️ We truly enjoyed every single moment, and if we ever return to Japan, we would absolutely love to stay with you again! With love from Saudi Arabia! 🇸🇦❤️🇯🇵 A million stars if we could give them!

We had an amazing time with the hosts - Saitou-san and Yasuko-san. The kominka is very comfortable with all the modern amenities. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were changed every meal and it was delicious and presented beautifully by Yasuko-san, with help from Saitou-san. Saitou-san was very gracious in picking us from and dropping off as well at Jomo-kogen Shinkansen station. They also took us bird-watching to Tanbara wetlands and also showed us a beautiful biosphere near Jomo-kogen. And the experiences of rice harvesting, potato harvesting and tilling the field with the tractor was very enjoyable. Yasuko-san taught us how to make konjak, Ura maki rolls, onigiri, and mochi. And they turned out delicious! Thank you both, Saitou-san and Yasuko-san for your amazing hospitality!

The host was very friendly and willing to talk with me. Even though my Japanese wasn't very good, we still had a great conversation. She also enthusiastically took me to local attractions, giving me the chance to experience the local life and culture more deeply. The whole experience was very relaxed and pleasant, making for a warm and welcoming stay. If I have the chance to come here again in the future, I would definitely stay again!
